Yakka’s Travelling Wine Bar
Wine, Vermouth, Snacks.
Next Stop: Thirroul, NSW.
Our Travelling Wine Bar is heading up the coast landing at Buck Hamblin in Thirroul for 4 special Friday evenings in May (2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd).
We’ll be pouring our favourite wines and vermouths with food paired by chef Rob Doll (ex-cafe paci). Bookings Opening Soon.
Our travelling wine list focuses on minimal intervention wines from the regions of Australia, throughout Europe and beyond. Our selection of wines by the glass are highly considered and rotate frequently to showcase the diverse offering of wines that we love to share and enjoy, from old-world, cult classics to the more wild and unconventional. It also wouldn’t be a wine bar without a neat selection of vermouth, aperitifs or digestifs, too. As for food, we collaborate with notable chefs and venues at each location to serve interesting snacks and plates that feature local produce and pair well with our drinks.
Past Pop-Up’s
Yakka’s Travelling Wine Bar popped up on the picturesque South Coast town of Berry, NSW throughout the Summer 2024-25.
We hosted lots of fun events over the Summer in Berry including a food & wine collaboration with Wollongong’s late-night boozer and hand-made snack kings Roys Restobar, Rob Doll’s Famous Oyster Bar, a round’ the world Vinyl DJ series with Sultans of Spin traversing the world of Motown soul, Dub, reggae and dancehalls, italo-disco & latin afrobeat, as well as live atmospheric performances by Tropical Strength, Al’s Angels and composer Russell Webster.
Our pop-up wine bar in Berry was included in the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide for “Nine regional restaurants the Good Food team are dining at this summer”. Check out the full article here.
